IVT To make a huge step forward: Yet another FIRST by the FIRST Hindu Temple of Ireland
Ohm Sri Ganesaya Namaha
In anticipation of the Divine blessings of Lord Vinayaka, in the expectation of a continued support and a more widespread involvement from the Hindu community, and in keeping with IVT's commitment to an early realisation of its objectives, it has now been decided to move on from the present once a week to a daily operational mode for the temple, whereby the temple will remain open to the devotees, at timings to be specified later, all through the year.
IVT has always followed a rigorously high standard for its temple operations and therefore a prime requirement for the proposed change is the availability of a suitably qualified and full time priest resident in Dublin. We are glad to inform you now that shortly we will be joined by priest from India. He has worked for several years as a priest in some renowned temples in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu after qualifying with honours from a highly rated Vedic Patasala.
As it would be appreciated, the logistics of this transition are enormous even to contemplate and we will keep you informed of further details as and when they are finalised. At present the one definite conclusion we could arrive at is that there can be no more appropriate and auspicious a time than the ensuing Vinayaka Chathurthi (Ganesh Pooja) for the commencement of our daily temple operations.
In the meanwhile, please remember that a grand Vinayaka Chathrthi celebration has been planned at Ballyroan Youth and Community Centre on Saturday, 3rd September. More information will be communicated to you soon.
May VINAYAKA's blessings be with you all the time.
Thanking in advance for your support.
With Best Regards, IVT Committee
Communication on 16th October 2010
On 16th Oct 2010, IVT completes exactly 7 years since its inception and it is an appropriate time to keep all our supporters and well wishers informed of the most recent developments and plans for our Vinayaka temple. Whereas the long term goal of having a permanent place and purpose built temple kept open everyday all through the year remains our uncompromising commitment, its realisation, as you would appreciate, will take a long time and progress can be achieved only in stages.

Communication on 13th March 2010
At the monthly Pooja Meeting held on 13th March 2010, an update on the current position regarding location of IVT in a permanent/semi- permanent place was provided to the devotees. The Committee is acutely aware of the urgent need to have a permanent location for the Temple and is taking every effort to meet with this demand at the earliest possible opportunity. We are looking at all options within the framework of law, be it a readily available building for outright purchase or temporary lease or a piece of land which offers the prospect of building a temple to suit our immediate requirements.
